EWMC Volunteer dinner for Veterans

Local 15's EWMC members participated in a volunteer dinner for veterans at Guest House located at 800 S. Polk St, Chicago on Thursday May 14th.

The dinner was provided for approximately 41 veterans that are displaced at this time. The menu included Burgers (Beef & Impossible), Spaghetti, Baked Beans, Cole Slaw, Pound Cake and a dinner roll.

All guests sat and talked about their experiences and how they are coping with adjusting into society.

L15 EWMC has been supporting Guest House and whomever they sponsor for the past two years, they generally have a timeframe of how long the guests stay in the accommodations provided. It was a pleasure to serve our veterans and support them in their struggles to readjust to society.
