The Local 15 EWMC group volunteered this past Saturday, May 31st with Gloves and Love in Chicago. They were instrumental in assisting with the building and development of a community garden located at 809 E. 42nd Pl. on the east side of the city.
This volunteer opportunity is yet another chapter in the relentless pursuit by the EWMC members to doing local volunteer work within community. The gardens onset was an initial building phase which consisted of 4 hours that day. Our EWMC members assisted and learned how to build and develop a garden, as well as the opportunity to hone and develop building skills. It was very fulfilling and satisfying as the group will look to continue to serve communities across the Chicagoland area.
The EWMC continues to thrive as a group. Their volunteer work is something we all admire and appreciate. We are proud to call them Local 15!
"Thank you, EWMC members, the work you are doing is exactly the vision I had when I brought this group back." - President Chris Riser
