On January 20, 2022 the Company released new information regarding the Covid Mitigation plan including the following information that is important to Local 15 members, mainly around Covid testing.
Since December 2021 , there have been a couple of important updates regarding these over the counter at home tests, the federal government now requires group health care plans and insurers to cover the cost of FDA approved, over-the-counter in-home tests. OptumRx, Exelon’s pharmacy benefit provider, will be administering this new benefit for employees. Plan participants may purchase up to eight tests per month directly at Walmart or Rite Aid pharmacies at no cost, however, shipping costs will be added, if applicable. If tests are purchased from another store or vendor, plan participants are eligible to be reimbursed up to $12 per test. Please note that many tests are sold in kits of two; this benefit covers eight tests per month OR four kits of two tests each per month. Also the federal government has opened online registration for free home COVID tests. The US Postal Service will ship to each household, but don’t delay – tests are available on a first-come, first-served basis, to register for these free tests, visit www.usps.com/covidtest
