Thank you to our excellent Steward organization for all that you do for Local 15 and our members! We appreciate you and your commitment to our great Local.

On Tuesday, May 20th, Local 15 President/ Business Manager/ Financial Secretary Chris Riser held our 3rd Annual Stewards Meeting at the Double Tree Hotel in Downers Grove.
90 of our Stewards, 70 Physical and 20 Clerical met with President Riser, Vice President Ben Busser, Senior Assistant Business Managers Mike Freeman and Jim Collins, Business Reps - Fabian Vela, Mike Keating, Shawn Wachter, Lisa Sims, Bernard Robinson, Mike Quirk, and Brad Gritt.
We covered multiple topics including:
Physical Topics
Grievances - How to properly file a grievance and RFI's, including how to use our new Grievance Manager and it's features. We provided a detailed update on the backlog of Grievances and Arbitrations.
The Drug and Alcohol Policy (Halloween Agreement)
Valtin - We gave a detailed presentation on the 1988 Rolf Valtin Award, and subsequent arbitrations and grievances that impacted the Valtin Award.
O&C/ Non O&C - We discussed the current document that is still be worked on with L15, project management and Labor for Dist Ops. Next we will work on the list for SSC. Cleaning up this list will result in more accurate reporting. That will make things easier on our stewards to read, understand and track the Contractor forecast reports and valtin reports.
CFR and Valtin Reports - OES Tim Bills gave a detailed presentation on both reports and his process to ensure accuracy. Thank you, Tim!
