Despite the initial vaccinations for health-care workers, Covid-19 is still a very real health hazard for IBEW 15 members while the risk of infection has become worse. Hospitals and health care workers are stretched to their limits and the Coronavirus continues to spread.
Since the beginning of the pandemic until December 11th, 531 Exelon Nuclear employees in the state of Illinois have contracted COVID-19. At ComEd there have been 464 cases and 73 cases at BSC.
We may be nearing the end of the pandemic but the danger is still widespread. Many people will still contract COVID19, some will have severe consequences. Please protect yourself, your family and your coworkers. Wear a mask, wash your hands, avoid crowds, stay home when you’re sick
